Quilter 'will be known to our readers as the recent art-critic of the "Times," and the gentleman who has for many years past written upon art subjects in the "Spectator". Quilter is described as 'almost the only critic of any standing who exhibits oil pictures as well as writes [with 'exhibits pictures' and 'paints as well as writes' both crossed out].'
