An unusual, scarce and frail survival. Printed on one side of a piece of tissue paper, roughly 35 cm square. Surprisingly well preserved: heavily creased, with some wear to extremities, one small hole (not affecting text or image) and one closed tear of approximately 4 cm to coloured border. The central section features portraits of the Spanish and English kings, within a decorative crested border, above twelve lines of text beginning 'The Royal yacht conveying King Alfonso XIII of Spain from Cherbourg will arrive on Monday at the South Jetty where the Prince of Wales will receive the young monarch on behalf of King Edward.' The illustration and text are enclosed in a floral border printed in yellow, green and gold. It was on this visit that the Spanish king met his future bride, Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg.
