See his entry in the Oxford DNB. 1p, 4to. On first leaf of bifolium, the reverse of the second leaf of which is addressed to ‘M: Ximenes Esqr.’, with a good impression of his seal in red wax. In fair condition, on aged paper. Elegant handwriting and good large signature. Reads: ‘Sir / I shall be engaged tomorrow & friday mornings, but if Mr. Wood will do me the favor to call here on Saturday morning at eleven o’ clock, I will take care to be at home to receive him. / I am, Sir, / yr. most obedt. / humble Servant / Dartmouth / St. James’s Sqr. / April 16. 1788’.

1p., 12mo. Mourning border. In fair condition, lightly aged and worn. 'Dartmouth' neatly written in another hand at head. With reference to a forthcoming subscription appeal for a book by the recipient the letter reads: 'Revd. Sir, | With reference to your note of the 30th. April, I must beg to stipulate that you neither print mine, to which it refers, nor insert my name in any list of subscribers that you may circulate, my subscription may be entered, if you please, as that of a friend fo the Revd J. Hermby'.

24pp., 8vo. Pagination includes the wraps, which carry the last two pages. With frontispiece plate: 'Oscar Wilde | Unpublished Caricature | By Finch Mason | [item 31]'. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper, in worn and chipped wraps. Wilde's name has been underlined in red pencil on cover.
