1p., 12mo. Good, on aged paper. De Paepe's grasp of the English language is not firm, but he makes himself understood. He has seen Rogers' 'new scientific book' 'Six Centuries of Work and Wages' advertised in 'many English papers'. 'I have not the means to bekome [sic - as any error following] your book here, and I intend to read it and give an analyse of it in my journal, "Le National belge", a radical paper in wich I whrit particularly upon the economical and social questions.' He asks for 'an exemplar' to be forwarded to him, and he will 'send you some examplar of my "compte-rendu" of it'. He continues: 'If it was possible to become your other books or pamphlets, I would publish a sketch of all your economical work.' He concludes with an apology for his 'bad english'.
