Both items in fair condition, with age and wear. ONE: Letters of Administration, 15 November 1825. Printed on square of parchment, with embossed seal appended and usual tax stamps. Completed in manuscript with regard to ‘Hugh O’Ferrall the natural and lawful Father of James Peter O’Ferrall late a Lieutenant belonging to His Majesty’s Ship Revenge at Sea Bachelor deceased’, whose estate is ‘Sworn Under One Hundred Pounds.’ Signed by three deputy registrars.

On 4 x 5.5 cm piece of paper. In good condition, laid down on square of paper cut from leaf removed from album. An uncommon signature and an unusual one, consisting of a single line in a series of up and down strokes, diminishing in height, tapering off to the right before returning for the underlining.

4pp., 4to. Printed on brown paper. In good condition, lightly-aged and with one corner dogeared. The only copy traced on OCLC WorldCat in the Thomas P. O'Neill Library at Boston College, in whose entry it is tentatively dated to the 1960s, with the note about the series to which it belongs: 'Primarily a selection and reprinting from Cuala Press' collected edition of Broadsides (new series), originally issued Jan.-Dec.

8vo, 16 pp. In original buff wraps. Text clear and complete. On aged and slightly-creased paper, with rust to the staples resulting in the detaching of the central bifolium. Wraps discoloured. Photograph of Yeats seated in his library on front wrap, and reproduction of Augustus John's portrait of the poet on p.2. On the first page is the facsimile, captioned ' "A Song," from W. B.

12mo: 97 pp. A good, tight copy, on aged paper, in contemporary calf binding gilt. All edges gilt, marble endpapers, dentelles. Binding rubbed and worn. Apparently complete (and certainly complete as bound), containing all four stories listed in the National Library of Ireland entry, but having 97 rather than the 167 pp in that entry. A landmark work in Irish literature, highly regarded as a pioneering attempt to modernize Gaelic narrative.
