Begins: 'Sir, | I have the honour to inform you that the Committee of the Fine Arts Club have, on the nomination of His Excellency The Marquis d'Azeglio, elected you a member of their Society.' (The reference is to the Italian diplomat and art collector Vittorio Emanuele Taparelli d'Azeglio (1816-1890), who was for a time President of the Burlington Fine Arts Club.) Robinson is enclosing a copy of the rules and list of members (not present), and Beck's 'subscription of One Guinea, due on election, may be paid according to the slip sent herewith'. He requests an acknowledgement of 'this communication' at Beck's 'earliest convenience'.
