See his entry in the Oxford DNB. The letter is 1p, 16mo. In good condition, lightly aged, with slight discoloration to margin at head and light rust spot. Reads: ‘Dear Mr. Haynes King, / It was extremely kind of you to write & congratulate me on my election as R.A. & I appreciate the attention very much. Thanking you sincerely for your good wishes / Yours very truly / Ernest A Waterlow.’ Accompanying the letter are two photographic reproductions of Waterlow paintings, extracted from the same periodical, each with his Autograph Signature ‘Ernest A Waterlow’ at bottom left to the left of the caption. The first painting (18.5 x 13 cm, reproduced in colour) is ‘Chalk-Pit on the Sussex Downs’, and the second (20 x 12 cm, in black and white) ‘The Orphan’. See sample image.
