Paper, 13 x 12cm, minor defects, apparently (from vestige of another signature at top) trimmed, remaining signatures clear, as follows: Charles Kingsley, C. St Davids, John Bowring, H[enry] Rawlinson, Egerton Ellesmere, Lyttelton, David Masson, T.H. Huxley, [Charles Nicholson?], J.W. Blakesley, W.S.W. Vaux, [J. Duffin Hardy?], J. Brewer, Devonshire. Presumably they were attending a meeting (event) of some sort of Club, perhaps the Athenaeum, but the presence of Devonshire at the bottom of the list suggests a gathering of the Devonshire Association.

Smith, C. Luke, W.H. Smith, J.J. Williams, H. Turner, R. Robinson, W.G.B. Bottrell, F.R. Goodall, John F. Chaplin. See image. Note: Huddersfield became the first English club to win three successive English league titles in 1925–26. The first two league titles were won under manager and pioneer Herbert Chapman, who also led the team to an FA Cup win in 1922.

Piece of paper, 19 x 14cms, bottom edge sl. rough (torn rather than cut from other half of the page), ow good condition, with bold signatures. The signatures of Evangeline Florence, soprano (as Evangeline F Crerar, her married name) and Henry Brearley, tenor, the latter dated 2 March 1904 are on the verso.

Two pages extracted from an autograph album, c.17.5 x 11cm, sl. grubby, mainly good condition. One entitled (in ink, "North of Scotland v. Springboks. | Aberdeen: 9th Jan.1932"; the other just headed by date so, "10/1/31 [32 in fact]" There are eight (8) signatures of South African players on the first page described above, and twenty-two (22) signatures on the second, total 30. One name, "S G Osler" is repeated on both pages. Given that a scrawled signature is liable to misinterpretation, the following members of the touring party appear to have signed: First page (total 8 signatures): a.

Pickersgill (1782-1875) and Uwins (1782-1857) were both English artists who exhibited at the Royal Academy. Very good, on a piece of grey paper roughly two inches by four. From a collection of Autograph Signatures cut from petitions to the Artists' General Benevolent Fund. Blank reverse.
