The report of the AGM includes notification of the names of new committee members, of an alteration to subscription rates, and of a discrepancy in the 'Canteen Accounts'.

A crisply and attractively printed item, with a businesslike listing of mostly recent compositions, in four categories: 'Offerte' (from 'DI CASTELBARCO Conte Cesare' to 'SCHMID Antonio'), 'Doni', 'In Adempimento delle Prescrizioni Statutarie' (from 'BARATTINI Luigi' to 'RIVALTA Giuseppe') and 'Acquisti'. The only copy on OCLC WorldCat at the Bibliothèque nationale de France.

The two items from the papers of Sir Richard Harington of Ridlington, 12th Baronet, who features as 'R. Harrington [sic]' in the 'Progress Return'. The pamphlet is 6pp., 12mo. The front page is headed, with crown-and-anchor device, 'Royal Naval Artillery Volunteers. | London Brigade. | Head Quarters, | H.M.S. Frolic, off Somerset House, W.C | December, 1891.' Printed by Woodfall & Kinder, Printers, 70 to 76, Long Acre, London, W.C.' Aged and grubby. Folded into a packet and addressed, with postmarked Halfpenny Red stamp, to 'R.

Victoria County History, Cambridgeshire, Volume 10, describes how, on the death in 1812 of Admiral Sir Charles Cotton, Landwade Manor 'passed to his son Sir St. Vincent Cotton who came of age in 1822. In 1850 he sold Landwade to Alexander Cotton, probably his younger brother (b. 1804).

The company, founded in 1887, operated a broad gauge railway network in the Argentine provinces of San Luis, San Juan and Mendoza, and was taken over on a lease by the Buenos Aires and Pacific Railway in 1907. It features in three studies: Colin M. Lewis, 'British Railways in Argentina 1857-1914: A Case Study of Foreign Investment' (1983); H. R. Stones, 'British Railways in Argentina 1860-1948' (1993); and Winthrop R. Wright, 'British-Owned Railways in Argentina – Their Effect on Economic Nationalism, 1854-1948' (1974).

Disbound, 21pp., 8vo, foxing on first page, ow good condition. He discusses the most prominent aspects of dreams without attempting a scientific analysis of mind and brain that must enter into any complete theory. Note: Freud's work on Dreams was published in 1899. No other copy of this pamphlet is listed on COPAC/WorldCat. Note: Item extracted from bound volume of pamphlets with the bookplate of L.A.St L. Three items, folded into the customary packet. In very good condition, lightly aged. ONE: Prospectus. 4pp., 8vo. Includes the memorandum of association, in small print. The prospectus, dated 12 May 1896, begins: 'The Company was constituted in 1883. It possesses two Mills, one at Northfleet (freehold) with a complete plant for the manufacture of sulphite wood-pulp and four paper machines, and the other at Ilford (leasehold) with one paper machine. The out-put of these five machines is now 150 tons of paper per week.' Docketed at head of first leaf by Sir Richard Harington.

Printed on one side of a 50.5 x 32 cm leaf of wove paper. In fair condition, on aged and worn paper, folded three times. In relatively small print. Underneath the title, by 'Charles T. Ritchie': 'The following instructions for Carriages have been prepared and published in the "London Gazette" of 13th May, 1902, by direction of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, and will be strictly carried out by Police'. Eight 'Regulations to be observed on the day of the coronation' follow.

A main topic of the meeting was, as Sir Lambton Loraine explained, the assertion by the Duke of Norfolk of his 'right to a jurisdiction over the Baronetage in every way', and his belief that he has 'a right to keep our record at his own house in St. James's Square, whereas we have not yet got the King's answer to the Home Secretary's Committee's proposal that a person appointed by the Home Office should be the future Registrar of the Roll of the Baronetage'.

With a rubbing, on two sheets of 8vo paper. of the inscription on the tomb of James Harington (d.1613). The rubbing is undated, but the two items derive from the papers of the Harington baronets of Ridlington, another branch of the family being the Harington baronets of Exton.

Pinholes to top corners, the item presumably having been displayed on a noticeboard. One word has been added in a contemporary hand (details given below). An historic piece of Great War ephemera, of which no other copy has been traced, with no copies at the Imperial War Museum, on OCLC WorldCat or on COPAC.

Three documents, all in fair condition, lightly aged and worn, each of the total of six leaves with three (later?) punch holes to the inner margins of the leaves. On the same browned thin wove paper. The front cover has the words 'The Game of Life' printed in large gothic type over an illustration of a tapestry. The title page carries the motto: 'The Picture that makes the Dimples to catch the Tears'. There is a long poem of the same title on the second page, and the third page carries the 'Argument' of the film by Walter G. Summers. There is a cast list on the fourth page, and pages five to eight tell 'The Story. There are nine black and white illustrations.

2pp., small 4to. Printed in black and red ink on the rectos of the two leaves of a bifolium. The heading and the words 'Tickets 15s. each' at the foot of the page in gothic type, the rest in roman. The names of 23 'Patronesses' given in two columns on the first page, beginning with 'The Countess of Ancaster' and ending with 'Mrs. Alfred Scott-Gatty'. The names of 24 'Steward' in a column on the second page, beginning with 'Harold Bompas, Esq.' and ending with 'Roland Vaughan Williams, Esq.' On p.6 Izoulet writes: 'cette leçon d'ouverture a pour but d'expliquer l'origine et le titre de la nouvelle chaire, la nature et l'esprit du nouveau cours'. Now scarce.

Part of stamp to one corner at reverse of title. Regarding Germany and the political situation in Europe. Begins: 'L'Allemagne est inquiète.

32pp., 8vo. Disbound. In printed yellow wraps. In fair condition, lightly aged and spotted, with the wraps detached from one another and the volume. An attack on Ultramontanism, and on Louis Veuillot in particular. Four copies on OCLC WorldCat and now scarce.

'La Vagabondo' (The Tramp) was the organ of 'La Esperantista Vagabonda Klubo', founded and edited by the artist Caroline Oxenford. Having previously been named 'La Vagabonda Monatajo' (January to March 1908) and 'La Vagabondisto' (April to July 1908), it became 'La Vagabondo' from September 1908. The First World War put an end to both club and magazine. The four issues are in fair condition, on aged and worn paper. Uniform in design, and each 12pp., 4to. (although the last number is slightly taller), in printed wraps carrying advertisements. The three numbers from '2-a Serio' (all by 'W. G.

112pp., 4to. Internally in good condition, on lightly-aged paper, in worn and chipped printed grey wraps, with slight tape staining at foot of spine. An elegant production, on good paper, with catalogue of 329 items in the fields of pictures, drawings, furniture, carpets, metalwork, ceramics and sculpture, preceded by list of contributors, bibliography. and seventeen-page introduction by a variety of specialists.

Marshall-Hall' at its head, and is illustrated with a spoof coat of arms, featuring three nurses, beneath the heading 'The P.U.O.'s. (Pierrots of Unknown Origin)'. Inside the front cover is a page of spoof advertisements, with in-jokes about the performers, as well as one clearly referring to Marshall Hall: 'I will cure you of the Swearing Habit in 9 days.
